Co-production and cOmmunity research

As part of the new project 8 of the LEEDS2023 "Neighbourhood Hosts" are working with Leeds University Centre of Cultural Value and Union Arts looking at how we can maintain the passion and camaraderie of the hosts and imbibe this into our neighbourhood work.

We now feel that we would like to look past the numbers and engagement metrics used previously and research more about local people and stories, our own lived experiences and neighbourhood values.

We have talked a lot about how our events were the stones dropped in our local communities, causing ripples in the neighbourhood and how we would like to nurture and strengthen these and not let these connections disappear.

Focusing in on our local communities, their cultural needs in the long term and how we ourselves as practitioners can evolve into the hosting roles that we have naturally continued to develop.

During the project we will each invest in a community venture in our locality to research these questions further.
